GUBI Timberline Floor Lamp

GUBI Grashoppa Floor Lamp - The iconic Gräshoppa Floor Lamp was first produced in 1947 by the feminine pioneer Greta M. Grossman.

The De Stijl artistic movement inspires with its linear and simple forms. And precisely, the two-dimensional geometric shapes such as the square and the rectangle act as a counterweight to the tubular and three dimensional light of Model T, the minimalist, sculptural and universal floor lamp.

The curved top reinforces the lightweight, slim-line body while a magnet allows full rotation of the diffuser. The table lamp version of Bird has been enlarged to become a reading lamp.

Berlin‘s refinement is expressed by its thick metal ring diffusers and a slender profile that encloses two discs of wired glass. The diffusers, two in the floor-standing version and four in the suspended version, are supported by a slender, tubular stem and can be rotated 360° according to lighting requirements.

A gently irregular shape, in opaque glass on the inside and transparent on the outside, animated by bright jaggedness.
