Founded in 1945, Oluce is the oldest Italian design company in the illumination sector still in operation today. The design qualities of the lamps make them icons that communicate across the generations to become an integral part of the homes they furnish.
Alongside the catalogue products is the Oluce experience in lighting technology and Made in Italy attentiveness, which in turn have given life to the Bespoke Tailoring, the special department dedicated to contract design.
OLUCE Fresnel Outdoor Floor Lamp - The Fresnel is an outside floor lamp giving direct and diffused light. It is made of lacquered aluminium support and Fresnel lens diffuser.
OLUCE Amanita Outdoor Lamp - Amanita is transformed from reading lamp to an elegant outdoor path-light. The Indian bronze finish of this version, together with its stylish silhouette, make it an object destined to grace the most refined gardens and public spaces.
OLUCE Yolk Wall Lamp - Yolk is a project designed by Angeletti&Ruzza who ironically and light-heartedly play on the duo concept, starting from the mix of elements making the lamp, metal and glass, which reflect and diffuse the light. This is then echoed by its name, evoking the simplicity of the quintessential two-material element, the egg, which is also the emblem of the creative duo’s generative power.
OLUCE Plume Wall Lamp - Plume, designed by Christophe Pillet, a family of lamps consisting of a table lamp and two wall lamp versions, one with a long arm and the other with a short arm. The lighting project conceptually originated from a collection created by the French designer for the Sezz Hotel in Saint-Tropez, designed especially for the hotel through the Oluce Bespoke Tailoring service, re-evoking a more ornamental version of Plume. In a perfect combination, Plume blends a minimal, slender and lightweight design, with a series of expressions that recall the classic lighting styles of the 1950s with the use of metal, configured as a collection with a precious, classic character, yet at the same time, contemporary. The entire family has an element in common, the lampshade consists of a thin metal surface, slightly folded in the centre to symbolically form a feather.
OLUCE Lens Wall Lamp - Lens by Francesco Rota was inspired by contemporary sculpture, playing with the curved surfaces to create an interesting interplay of light and mirrors. In fact, Lens is a direct light wall lamp with a concave screen that creates a barrier between the light source and the surrounding area. Available in a chrome-plated or copper version, this project has a notable decorative value, however behind which the use of the LED light source is concealed – an innovative, technological heart – capable of guaranteeing an energy saving exceeding 80% compared to the traditional version.
OLUCE Coupe Wall Arch - The Coupé Wall is a simple and ingenious mechanism that connects the stem to the head makes it possible to direct the beam in several directions, by moving the dome up, down and sideways. In 1968, Coupé won the ”International Design Award” of the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago. It is part of the permanent collection at both the MoMA in New York and the ”Neue Sammlung” Museum in Munich.
