OLUCE Acrilica Table Lamp - Joe Colombo‘s first project for Oluce, the only one worked on together with his brother Gianni. From then on, the two Colombo brothers clearly separated their fields: Joe left art in which he had shown interesting promise with “Nucleari”, while Gianni no longer worked in design, becoming one of the leading exponents of the kinetic, programmed movement. The 281 model, created in 1962, was immediately nicknamed “Acrilica” due to its surprising conspicuousness and exception innovation of the significant curve made from acrylic. Methacrylate, used for about a decade in the field of lighting, usually in thin sheets that are cut or thermoformed, found a very particular use here: its thickness and curve meant that, thanks to its conduction properties, the light from a fluorescent lamp contained within the painted steel base moved through the transparent body, eventually lighting the head in an incredible way. Due to this “magical movement”, “281” is more a work of kinetic art than a lamp.
OLUCE Atollo Metal Table Lamp - Designed in 1977 by Vico Magistretti, over the years, Atollo has become the archetype of the table lamp, winning the Compasso d’Oro in 1979 and completely revolutionising the way we imagine the classic bedside lamp. The geometric shapes that compose it – cylinder, cone and hemisphere – have resulted in a product that is decorative and essential at the same time, disconnected from the historical period and the fashions of the moment, and one that has now fully become one of the icons of Italian design
AUDO COPENHAGEN Reverse Table Lamp - presents Reverse Lamp, a new lighting solution that underpins the ever-present beauty of natural materials. In his search for simple and clever solutions in any given space, Danish designer Aleksandar Lazic looked to Italian marble tables from the 1970s when creating the Reverse Lamp. Inspired by the play on structure created by geometric constraints, the conical travertine base and curved, bronzed aluminium shade define the lamp’s perfectly balanced expression.xxx*Delivery 7-10 days only while quantities are in stock
AUDO COPENHAGEN Hashira Table Lamp - ?launches the Hashira Collection, a modern, Nordic take on the traditional Japanese rice paper lantern. A fusion of East and West, tradition and modernity, and a perfect balance of aesthetics and proportion and simplicity and character, Hashira is a new collection of floor, table and pendant lamps for modern spaces.
OLUCE Superluna Table Lamp - The slender metal rod of the SUPERLUNA lamp conceals the electrical components and it hosts the light source: the LED opens out onto the stem in line with the semi-spherical shade that reflects its light by rotating on its own axis. In this way, the echo of the perpetual movement of celestial bodies is enhanced by the small luminous core contained in the structure of the lamp itself.
OLUCE Lu-lu Table Lamp - The Lu-Lu table lamp has a slight gap that lifts the glass off the top and projects a sharp, circular shadow: a detail not to be underrated. Lu-Lu can desired, be left completely off and hence textural, or on and thus dissolved, but also lit only in its upper half (the light resting on the heavy) or in its lower half (the heavy resting on the light). a slight gap lifts the glass off the top and projects a sharp, circular shadow: a detail not to be underrated.
