Pianca creates furniture systems and occasional furniture for residential contexts – bedrooms and living rooms – and for the contract market. Our approach to design aims at customising products and places to meet the needs of people whose lifestyles are based on flexibility, mobility and change but who still want to feel at home no matter what. Our respect for the history and founding values of our brand – our territory, our Italian culture, family and genius – and our desire to make authentically sustainable products, make appreciating the human aspects of our company second nature to us, resulting in our ability to blend our rational side (thinking) with our more emotional and empathic side (loving).
Symmetry and simplicity create a reassuring yet eclectic design. Clean-cut volumes, seamless surfaces, slim and rounded profiles are part of an expressive language that communicates solidity and modernity. The feet, resembling elegant, slim heels, become fascinating distinctive features. For a warmer, more sophisticated version, the headboard and bed frame can be upholstered in fabric or leather.
Understated style, inviting contours, softly combined. Rada is a bed with a flowing, intimate and delicate profile. The headboard curves backwards gently, inviting total relaxation, yielding to its form. The bed appears to derive from a single pen-stroke, its curves flowing seamlessly into metal feet, in a supremely delicate yet natural contrast of materials. The upholstery is light and carefully measured, the product of Philippe Tabet’s design style and the skilled hand of the master craftsman who created it.
An organic design, delicate shapes that offer a warm and reassuring embrace. The bed’s profile is born from one single flowing line that includes the generous headboard, which is welcoming and enveloping. The visible zip, which runs along all the edges, is both a functional element and distinctive detail. The metal base adds lightness to the entire structure, giving the illusion that the bed is floating in space in the version with feet. The tall bed frame version includes the option of including the storage box, combining comfort and elegance.
Inspired by a classic style with a contemporary appeal and linked by an unconventional design that definitely doesn’t go unnoticed. Traditional charm comes together using a topical, refined aesthetic language with vintage undertones. Light volumes, precious and significant finishes – such as the handpleated headboard – make this model equally elegant and unique in the plainheadboard version as well. The graceful bed frame rails are in fluted, lacquered wood that accommodate the soft, padded frame of the bed base.
Duetto implements a simple yet technologically advanced project to develop the sustainability of industrial production. Its sculpturesque shape has an immediately positive impact and interprets a lifestyle that focuses on practicality and harmony.
Its classic-inspired forms are reassuringly solemn, distinguished, yet also inviting. The refined simplicity of the Embrace bed echoes the warmth of an embrace, a retreat to a safe haven. The dominating feature of the bed, the curved headboard, cocoons the main body of the bed in an inviting, material embrace, offering protective, reassuring shoulders. The version without an underbed storage container can accommodate a recessed mattress. Concealed legs raise the structure a few centimetres off the floor in a delicate, almost indiscernible appearance of floating.
